Human Value course in IIIT-H

In the first lecture of human values we discussed about diffrent dimensions in humans which includes humans interaction with :
1) Family
2) Individual
3) society
4) Organization
5) humans interaction with himself
6) His belongings
7) individuals interaction with Knowledge......(knowledge of a human being which isn't just confined to his degree.........)
8)Individual's relation with God.

we discussed about each of points seperately and in detail...............since it was 1 hr 30 min lecture we were just able to discuss about individuals relation with nature and since there was quite active discussion we were only able to discuss about things human take from nature and how are those things useful to us....

Nature gives us lots of resources like water from the sea, and paper from trees, and wool comes from nature (sheep) but animals are part of nature, so we have to keep nature clean to get more and more resources.

Humans are 100% dependent on nature. It provides the air we must breath, the water we must drink, the soil to plant crops for food, and the animals we eat. Without these things, we do not survive.
Humans depend on their environment when they:

  • expect the sun will rise, to give energy to plants
  • expect weather fronts to bring rain, snow, sleet, hail, which all give moisture to the soil and plants
  • depend on plants to consume CO2 and release O2
  • learn about rotation of plantings for food crops
  • know to not deplete the soil of nutrients
  • expect plantings to grow into plants and bear fruit, whether ground or tree crops
  • use trees to give shade and shelter
  • use trees to prevent soil erosion
  • create dams in waterways
  • use rivers and streams as transport routes
